Research Assistant Position

We are seeking to hire a full-time research assistant to join the McRae Marine Ecology Lab! This position is a one-year contract with possibility of extension based on performance/funding.  Start date: August 1, 2025.

Major Responsibilities:
- administrative work
- aquaculture tank maintenance 
- fieldwork assistance 
- lab work assistance 

Required Candidate Skills:
- Highly organized
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken)
- Intermediate level English (for informal communication with lab members, no need for formal English presentation/writing skills)
- Administrative work experience (ideally at a Taiwanese university) 

Desired Candidate Skills:
- Open Water SCUBA certification (or willingness to get certified)
- Aquaculture experience
